What does real time surveillance exactly mean?

Real time monitoring is a method in which the connection status of the objects connecting permanently with packet switched networks (X.25, IP) can be traced not with conventional signs of life, but by the appropriate parameters of the protocol layers. In practice it means that we can obtain connection information about the single objects in real time, so we can see right away if there is an error with the remote signaling device.

Besides this, the UniAlarm Dispatcher has a built-in real-time monitoring simulator for the traditional devices, which tries to calculate the signaling statuses based on the data received via normal data transmission routes, similarly to the real-time surveillance. The advantage of this is that the operators can see the deficient/failing objects on the screen with 99% accuracy.
